We are seeking a proficient Staff Accountant to join our team. The Staff Accountant candidate is someone ready to grow, willing to learn, and strive to improve processes. This Staff Accountant role carries responsibility for maintaining financial records, day-to-day operations of the company and has the potential for growth into a Controller role with the success of the business.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial records including daily transactions, invoices, employee financial data, etc.
• Assist with budget preparation and monthly budget variance analyses.
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings by preparing key account reconciliations.
• Conduct regular ledger maintenance and record all business transactions.
• Complying with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting.
• Assist with preparation for annual audits.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role
• Experience in preparing annual budgets and annual forecasts preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
