Eiden Systems Corporation is looking for a Systems/Application Administration to join our team. Join a team of experienced production support team in a fast-paced and agile environment, the Systems Administrator will help support the daily operations of multiple instances of a web application and Oracle database.

This position will require you to be part of a team of employees who can be called upon to deploy OCONUS (to include hazardous locations) in order to support instances of the application at sites around the world.

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • The Systems Administrator will support systems operation and maintenance on production and test systems to include: release management; upgrades; patches; change packages (enhancements/fixes); problem reports; data migration; and cyber security test environments
  • Daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  • Review performance logs and monitors system performance
  • Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimum performance
  • Perform tuning, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and benchmarking in accordance with established procedures
  • Maintain existing and supports new data feeds that may be a combination of FTP/SFTP, RESTful web services, and other data flow mechanisms
  • Troubleshoots and resolves system hardware, software and communications problems; creates shell programs and utility scripts; performs configurations and adjustments to enhance database file capacity; performs automated and manual backup and restore processes.
  • Ensure integrity of servers through evaluation, implementation, and management of appropriate software and hardware solutions.
  • Ensure data and media recoverability though system backups and database archive operations.
  • Support media management through internal methods and procedures or through offsite storage and retrieval services.
  • Conduct routine hardware and software audits of servers for compliance with established standards, policies, procedures and configuration guidelines.
  • Performs regular file archival and purge, as necessary.
  • Creates, changes, and deletes user accounts, per request.
  • Works with internal and external customers to troubleshoot system issues.
  • Administration of application when deployed.
  • Supports night and weekend maintenance, as needed.
  • Supports an on-call schedule during non-working hours

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Ten years' experience implementing and administering complex systems
  • CompTIA Security + CE
  • Experience with advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution of complex issues
  • Experience performing administration duties for hardware, software, and networking components, including GOTS, COTS, servers, storage arrays, networking hardware
  • Experience with analyzing and resolve issues with bi-directional, cross domain, data transfer systems
  • Extensive experience with a wide variety of server and networking hardware; deploying COTS/GOTS products on classified networks; and cross-domain data transfer
  • Work experience with Windows and Linux Operating systems and storage solutions
  • Experience with Oracle, RDBMS systems, SQL/SQLPlus, .NET, Java and other scripting tools required.
  • Oracle (SQL and/or PL/SQL)
  • Scripting (Powershell, Python, etc)
  • Web Services experience
