Senior Pharmacy Technician

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Six months of experience assisting in prescription filling under a licensed pharmacist or a Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) or completion of an ASHP-accredited pharmacy technician training program.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical supply handling and storage.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, climbing, stooping, and kneeling.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.

Duties:

• Prepares and organizes unit dose carts and IV admixtures.
• Assists pharmacists in reviewing and processing medication orders.
• Screens and routes telephone inquiries for pharmacists.
• Retrieves, stocks, and delivers medications and IV solutions to designated units.
• Conducts inventory management and replenishes ward stock items.
• Supports compounding and repackaging processes under supervision.
• Ensures compliance with pharmacy sanitation and equipment maintenance.
