Chemical Operator

Responsibilities:

• Sample feed, reflux, product, oil etc. tanks
• Read collect data and log various process parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow and level
• Maintain written log of operating performance and adjustment made to unit operations
• Maintain unit operations in safe and environmentally acceptable manner
• Set up line and equipment to transfer product from railcars, product tank, feed tank, oil tank, ISO container etc. to appropriate storage location
• Operate vacuum pumps, vapor and liquid pumps, compressor using standard operating procedures (SOP)
• Learn operation and maintenance of boiler and chiller equipment using SOP within reasonable time frame
• Take and pass test to stay in apprenticeship program
• Operate control board to maintain and improve unit operations
