Responsibilities:
Overview

As a banquet server at Greenleaf Hospitality Group, you are an Intention Seeker looking for ways to provide those exceptional and unique services at some of the most important events in people’s lives and careers.We will train you on the skills needed to set up, serve, interact with guests, understand food and beverage, respond to guest requests, and anticipate guest needs. You will do this daily as part of a larger team that is committed to respecting and supporting each other, providing friendly and memorable interactions with our guests, and having fun.
What You’ll Be Doing
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Catering events by serving large groups of people, typically within the same time frame
- Set up for events by putting out tablecloths and place settings, arranging table placement and setting up a buffet
- Carrying plates of food on trays and serving guests
- Keep glasses filled; remove each round of plates and replenish utensils
- Provide a positive environment
- Organize and delegate tasks
- Ensure accuracy among completed tasks
- Reinforce consistency
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Act as a liaison between management and staff
- Provide leadership to staff
- Strong Communication Skills
- Multi-task throughout shift
- Strong understanding of event timelines
- Strong understanding of event specifics (details)
- Strong understanding of staff’s strengths
- Organize and consolidate steps of service for maximum productivity
- Perform essential banquet server tasks
- Ensure that all servers understand their role within a function or event
- Uphold service standards outlined in training
- Act as a positive role model to staff
- Ensure 100% guest satisfaction while resolving disputes efficiently
Qualifications:
What You Need for this Position- Able to stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours or more
- Able to stoop and bend
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds from time to time
- Able to safely work with potentially dangerous chemicals and equipment
- Able to comply with safety and health code standards
- Able to handle responsibilities that require repetitive motion tasks
