As an Area Sales Manager, you will play a key role in driving group sales for Lake Nona properties. You will actively solicit and manage group inquiries of 10+ guestrooms per night, crafting tailored solutions and building long-lasting client relationships.Your efforts will directly contribute to achieving optimal sales objectives and creating memorable guest experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Innovative Sales Development: Proactively identify and develop new sales opportunities through prospecting, phone outreach, sales calls, trade shows, and other strategies. Some travel may be required.
- Client Relationship Management: Respond to inquiries and engage with potential clients to establish lasting business relationships.
- Market Awareness: Analyze market trends, competitor strengths, and economic factors to strategically position Lake Nona properties against the competition.
- Property Knowledge: Master the amenities, venues, and services offered to provide tailored recommendations that enhance group experiences.
- Guest-Centric Approach: Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, and deliver above-and-beyond experiences.
- Operational Execution: Handle the logistics of booked business, including generating proposals, drafting contracts, and maintaining accurate records of sales activities.
- Team Collaboration: Build positive relationships with team members across Lake Nona properties, fostering a culture of collaboration and shared success.
- Site Tours: Conduct engaging property tours, highlighting the unique benefits aligned with clients’ needs.
- Adaptability: Embrace flexibility in a dynamic environment, taking on additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of two years in hotel operations or sales roles required.
- Professionalism: Maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Windows-based systems and able to master CRM (TripleSeat) and PMS (Fosse) tools.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrated accuracy and organizational skills.
- Sales Expertise: Proven ability to build relationships and close sales effectively.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Team Collaboration: Capable of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams across multiple properties.
- Adaptability: Effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- People Skills: Enjoy interacting with others and creating exceptional experiences for guests.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to walk, stand, or sit for 6-8 hours daily, lift and carry up to 25 lbs., and use hands and arms for reaching and carrying tasks.
- Vision: Requires close, distance, and peripheral vision.
- Environment: May encounter temperature fluctuations, moderate to high noise levels, and exposure to basic office supply chemicals.
