As a growing company, we are looking for a skilled and experienced cook for our kitchen team to meet the high volume of increasing orders.
Clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs using manual and electric appliances
Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Use kitchen equipment to prepare food items
Unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, cupboards, and other storage areas
Sweep and mop floors and perform other duties as required
Maintain and stock inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
Clean kitchen and work area
Knowledge of cooking techniques and cuisines
Good understanding of food safety and handling
Ability to use slicers, mixers, grinders, food processors, etc.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and stand for extended periods
Available to work evening shifts, weekends and holidays

In December 2023, Shun Brothers opened a new restaurant by the name of A Bite of Shunde at 2215-4653 Garden City Rd, Richmond, BC, V6X 2K4.As a subsidiary of the es-teemed Shun Feng Shun Shui Group, we are committed to uphold the highest standards of Shunde cuisine and provide an unparalleled dining experience to our patrons. As a growing company, we are looking for a skilled and experienced cook for our kitchen team to meet the high volume of increasing orders.
We expect the team member to be clean, hardworking, dedicated, and enjoys a fast-paced environment.
Job Duties: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
Determine the size of food portions and estimate food requirementsClean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs using manual and electric appliances
Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Use kitchen equipment to prepare food items
Unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, cupboards, and other storage areas
Sweep and mop floors and perform other duties as required
Maintain and stock inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
Clean kitchen and work area
Uphold sanitation and safety standards
Job Requirements: Professional culinary diploma or completed culinary training program is an asset
At least 1 year of cooking experience, preferably in a restaurant settingKnowledge of cooking techniques and cuisines
Good understanding of food safety and handling
Ability to use slicers, mixers, grinders, food processors, etc.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and stand for extended periods
Available to work evening shifts, weekends and holidays
