We are looking for a general production line associate to join our team here at Salumificio G.B. At Salumificio G.B. We produce high quality salumi (salami and other uncured specialty meats) and fresh sausage.The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience in food production, especially in the production of sausage, salami or meat products alike.
General operations will include assisting in production of the processing line, receiving of raw materials, packaging of finished goods, and proper cleaning and sanitisation of the facility. This position requires adherence to USDA regulations and CGMP practices while maintaining a clean and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week

Responsibilities
- Trimming to remove fat and other unwanted aspects of raw pork
- Supporting roles in the processing of Pork
- Assist in the fabrication of food products, ensuring quality standards are met.
- General use of a knife or other tools
- General use of processing machinery
- Follow HACCP protocols to maintain food safety throughout the production process.
- Proper weighing, labeling, bagging, packing and boxing finished product
- Sanitate production equipment and work areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Moving and lifting material and items over 50lbs
- Ability and willingness to work in environments under 50 degrees fahrenheit
- Ensuring food safety and quality
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
- Knife experience
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with HACCP principles and FDA regulations is a plus.
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new processes and techniques related to food processing.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without Visa sponsorship
