The analyst will collaborate closely with leaders across the corporate functions and international business units, helping to drive informed decision-making and operational efficiency. Success in this role requires a mix of strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and business partnership, with the ability to work independently while receiving guidance on complex challenges.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Financial Partnering & Reporting: Serve as the primary financial contact for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across multiple departments and entities.
- Month-End Close & Financial Accuracy: Own the monthly close process, including preparing accrual and reclassification journal entries and partnering with Accounting to ensure data integrity.
- Variance Analysis & Performance Monitoring: Analyze revenue, gross margin, and operating expenses against forecasts, identifying key business drivers, risks, and opportunities. Maintain and communicate a set of business metrics to track financial performance.
- Strategic Financial Support: Collaborate with senior managers and finance leadership to provide actionable insights that inform business decisions and improve financial outcomes.
- Business Intelligence & Process Improvement: Drive the development of Power BI reporting and financial models that enhance data visibility and decision-making.
- Ad Hoc Analysis & Strategic Projects: Support leadership with financial models, presentations, and ad hoc projects, particularly related to marketing and sales analytics.

- Financial modeling, data analysis, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Ability to interact with leaders at all levels, providing clear financial guidance and recommendations.
- Excellent communication and business partnering skills to build relationships across departments.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial planning/reporting tools such as Adaptive Insights, SAP (or similar ERP systems), and Power BI (preferred).
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Economics)
- 3-5 years of experience in financial management, business planning and analysis, and/or public accounting
- Comprehensive understanding of business from the perspective of finance and commercial operations
- Experience in the medical device or healthcare manufacturing industry a plus
- MBA is highly desirable
- Public accounting experience a plus

Salary Range
Alphatec Spine, Inc. complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate’s qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $90,000 to $120,000 Full-Time Annual Salary
