We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the non-profit sector in Bronx, New York. Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Support the closing of financials by timely completion of tasks and meeting deadlines

  • Carry out Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation to verify account balances. • Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations
  • Demonstrable experience in General Ledger management
  • Ability to prepare and maintain Journal Entries
  • Experienced in Month End Close procedures
  • Proficient in using QuickBooks and QuickBooks Pro
  • Capable of performing Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Compliance with all legal and ethical standards applicable to accounting.
