Sr. Accountant

We're looking to fill a critical Senior Accountant position in the San Fernando Valley, California for a Fortune 500 company. This role will see you handling intricate accounting tasks, managing accounting teams, and ensuring compliance with standard Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) alongside our company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out intricate accounting tasks to record, inspect and track financial information.
• Complete monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
• Create and examine financial statements.
• Oversee all accounting aspects, including invoice processing, billing, cash receipts, account receivables and month-end close, alongside journal entries.
• Aid in managing the accounting workflow across different departments like sales, customer service, operations, and HR.
• Confirm proper internal controls are in place and ensure their compliance with company policies and procedures, Sarbanes Oxley, and various other mandatory requirements.
• Meet all internal and external reporting dates.
• Assist with pricing and profitability analysis.
• Aid with accounting for capital expenditure, transfers, and retirements.
• Facilitate periodic financial audits, including internal, external audits, and peer reviews.
• Respond to and provide support for information requests from multiple departments as needed.
• Carry out any other duties related to the job as needed or identified.
• Must possess expertise in Account Reconciliation
• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required
• Experience in Bank Reconciliations is necessary
• Must have a solid understanding of General Ledger operations
• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries is a must
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
• Experience in Month End Close procedures is necessary
• Working knowledge of Oracle or large ERP systems
