Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team located in Covina. In this role, you will be tasked with managing the full cycle of accounts payable, including coding, batching, and vendor management. The Accounts Payable Specialist must have a good understanding of GAAP.

Responsibilities:

• Handle full-cycle accounts payable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in operations.
• Code and batch financial transactions appropriately to maintain organized records.
• Utilize knowledge of GAAP Accounting principles to guide financial transactions and decision-making.
• Manage vendor relationships, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Use Accounting Software Systems to maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare and analyze aging reports to monitor account status.
• Oversee accrual accounting processes, ensuring accurate reflection of financial standing.
• Enter vendor invoices into the system, verifying details and ensuring timely payment.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a related role
• Proficient in Account Coding procedures and best practices
• Extensive experience with Accounting Software Systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar
• Demonstrated knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures
• Familiarity with Accrual Accounting principles
• Proven experience in Auditing, particularly within the accounts payable function
• Ability to accurately and efficiently Enter Vendor Invoices into the accounting system
• Experience in Vendor Management, including communication and negotiation
• Knowledge of GAAP Accounting principles and regulations
• Experience with Batch Processing, particularly within an accounts payable context
