Lead business strategy projects within and across engine business units to produce recommendations for addressing strategic opportunities. Participate in the creation of new business ventures including joint ventures, equity alliance and acquisitions, and conduct competitive and industry analyses.Utilize specialized knowledge of engineering principles and practices to design and develop strategy through extensive qualitative and quantitative analysis. Apply strategic framework to analyze opportunities and deliver product solutions. Synthesize environmental data, stakeholder analysis, and market force data within financial and business analysis necessary to develop insights and solutions to support strategic business decisions, Apply extensive knowledge of engine industry practice to develop strong business relationships with all levels across all business units and multiple functions.
Employ Change Management skills and project management including scope control experience to maintain business partnerships and lead internal and external partners. Evaluate financial aspects of engine product development, business development or venture, such as budgets, expenditures.Research and develop appropriations, and return-on-investment and profit-loss projections. Own problem resolution and drive solutions to solve strategic problems that fall outside of past experience through a top-down, hypothesis-driven approach with frequent iteration that evolved with diverse learnings gathered through the course of the project.
Lead Strategy Core Project Output Creation to drive project output through an insight-driven approach that is founded on efficient and prioritized usage of the resources, and high-quality, credible research and analysis. Maintain business partnerships by effectively leading internal and external partners including engineering project teams, senior management and outside suppliers to accomplish organizational goals and identify opportunities to resolve problems.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
Positions require a Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Engineering or Strategy Management, or related field and 3 years of experience as a Quality or Mechanical Engineer, Strategy or Development Analyst, or related position.Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Engineering or Strategy Management, or related field and 5 years of experience as a Quality or Mechanical Engineer, Strategy or Development Analyst, or related position.
Experience to include: Engineering principles and practices; Qualitative and quantitative analysis; Deliver product solutions; Engine industry practice; Change Management; Project management including scope control; Own problem resolution.
