Mechanical Product Design Engineer
Mechanical Product Design Engineer based near North Providence, RI for a leading medical device manufacturer. This role is responsible to lead the design and development of new product automation platforms in the IVD and Medical Device markets.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Must have at least seven (7) years of product design experience (Medical device industrial is ideal)
- Experience in robotics platforms and automation design
- Proficiency with Solidworks 3D CAD
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including CNC Machining, Sheet Metal fabrication, injection molding
Preferred:
- Familiarity with IVD or Medical Device automation processes

responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of new product automation platforms
- Development of new products to include managing and mentoring junior team members
- Review the product design and development of complex electro-mechanical medical devices and equipment.
- Create and document design concepts through the use of 3D CAD software and rapid prototyping methodologies
- Translate user needs and other customer input into clear, concise design requirements and design concepts
- Develop a comprehensive set of product documentation to support the manufacturing of the products
- Create specifications for device components, assemblies, packaging, and labeling
