Geriatric Occupational Therapist

Qualifications:

B.S. (or higher) in Occupational Therapy.
NYS licensure or eligibility.
Minimum of two years of experience in geriatric care or skilled nursing facilities.
Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.

Duties:

Works with elderly patients to improve mobility, coordination, and independence.
Assesses fall risks and implements fall prevention strategies.
Designs therapy plans to maintain cognitive function and daily living skills.
Assists with modifications for home and facility environments.
Provides education and support to families and caregivers.
