Medical Biller/Collections Specialist

We are in search of a Medical Biller/Collections Specialist to become an integral part of our team. This role will be based in Canton, Ohio, in the healthcare industry. The successful candidate will be tasked with a variety of billing tasks, including waiver billing for group homes and adult daycare services, private pay and patient liability, and reconciliation of accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out waiver billing for group home services
• Manage billing for waiver transportation services
• Oversee billing for both medical and non-medical adult daycare services
• Handle private pay and patient liability matters
• Conduct reconciliation of accounts regularly
• Operate software such as Solana, Provider Pro, Sandata effectively
• Monitor and verify insurance authorizations
• Execute other medical billing functions as necessary
• Attend to ground transportation billing
• Manage private insurance and medical insurance billing tasks. • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Biller/Collections Specialist or in a related role
• Proficiency in performing authorizations
• Experience with various billing functions
• Knowledge in medical billing is essential
• Familiarity with the billing process and systems
• Ability to handle ground transportation-related billing issues
• Experience with insurance billing, particularly within a medical context
• Understanding of private insurance billing procedures
• Expertise in medical insurance billing is a must
