Specification Sales Representative
Our client a leading metal roofing manufacturer is seeking an inspired and results-oriented Outside Sales/Specification Representative to take over their territory covering Long Island, NY Metro and Hudson Valley (prefers candidate to live on Long Island but MUST live within (link removed)>
Outside Sales reps will call on: commercial architects to get products specified; generating brand awareness with industry professionals, and assisting in pull-through sales with the distribution network.
The ideal candidate will have strong commercial exterior building envelope sales experience, ability to read blueprints and perform takeoffs. They also must have strong prospecting, relationship building, and listening skills.
Minimum Required Experience:
- 3+ years commercial building materials experience (exterior building envelope experience highly desired).
- Have sold a high-end non-commodity product.
- Have performed AIA presentations.
- Have worked with commercial architects.
- Ability to read technical documents, including blueprints and specifications.
- Clean and valid drivers license.
- Bachelors degree or a min of 5-years exact experience.
All potential employees are required to do a drug test, credit report, driving record check.
