Key Responsibilities:
- Administer benefits programs, including claims resolution, carrier enrollment, processing qualifying events, and reporting changes.
- Ensure the accuracy of benefits data by reviewing reports from plan providers and promptly resolving issues or discrepancies.
- Act as a resource for HR teams and employees, communicating benefit-related information clearly and effectively.
- Manage employee wellness programs, including scheduling events, coordinating vendors, and driving effective internal communication.
- Collaborate with brokers and benefit providers to address and resolve any issues, ensuring smooth operational processes.
- Develop and implement a benefits communication strategy to keep employees informed about their options and any changes to their plans.
- Plan, manage, and execute the annual benefits open enrollment process, ensuring a seamless experience for all employees.
- Manage employee leave requests and disability paperwork, coordinating with vendors to ensure accurate processing.
- Interpret and apply FMLA and ADA guidelines as they relate to leave and disability cases.
- Administer worker’s compensation claims and work closely with internal teams and external partners to bring claims to resolution.
- Assist with return-to-work processes following worker’s compensation cases.
- Conduct regular quality checks on benefits data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Actively engage with HR and other departments to identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement in processes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in benefits administration.
- Strong understanding of employment regulations such as FMLA, ADA, and worker’s compensation laws.
- Experience managing vendor and broker relationships.
- A proactive team player with a focus on accuracy and problem-solving.
This position is hybrid, 2 days/week work from home after training. Beginning compensation for this role is $80,000-110,000 (depending on qualifications) with discretionary bonus potential.
