Payroll Specialist - Sanford

We are welcoming a proficient Payroll Specialist into our team. As a Payroll Specialist, your primary role involves managing the company's payroll functions, ensuring that all transactions are conducted accurately, promptly, and in accordance with all legal requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and manage the payroll activities, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
• Supervise the implementation, maintenance, and review of payroll processing and accounting systems for efficient operations.
• Manage payroll updates in an accurate and timely manner, including new hires, terminations, and pay rate changes.
• Keep accurate records and reports of all payroll transactions and prepare them as needed.
• Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal payroll, wage, and hour laws, and best practices.
• Assist in audits by supplying records and documentation to auditors when required.
• Identify and suggest improvements to payroll accounting software, systems, and procedures.
• Use your proficiency in UKG Payroll Reporting and UKG/ADP to manage payroll functions effectively.
• Handle other duties as assigned related to the Payroll Specialist role.
• Proficiency in using UKG for payroll management is desirable.
• Demonstrable experience in payroll processing and administration.
• Familiarity with payroll garnishments and related legal procedures.
• Ability to reconcile payroll effectively, ensuring accuracy in all transactions.
• Experience with UKG for payroll, HR, and timekeeping tasks.
