As a Direct Support Professional for Devereux you will:
- Provide safe and appropriate care for all Pocono Center residents
- Be responsible for supervision of residents and seeing that their physical, emotional and personal needs are met
- Assist in hygiene tasks such as showering or toileting
- Support individuals throughout daily routine, including joining them in community outings
- Attend in-service training programs to develop skills
- Perform related duties, special assignments and projects as assigned by coordinator
This program includes 100% of tuition covered (up to fifteen thousand dollars annually for undergraduate and twenty five thousand annually for graduate) and student loan repayment, among other benefits!
Payrates: Starting rates $17.25-19.67 hr depending on education/experience. On-Call $18.75/hr.
Build your own rate up to $19.96/hr (maximum experience and C.N.A.) with the shift differential and our TOB Exchange program!- Exchange 40 hours of Time Off for an additional .38 cents per hour, or 80 hours for an additional .77 cents per hour!
- Additional $0.30 Evening shift differential, $0.50 Overnight shift differential
- Additional .29 cents per hour is you have an active C.N.A.

Available Shifts: Full-time, part-time and on-call. Days 7am-3pm, Evenings 3pm-11pm, Overnights 11pm-7am, 9am-2pm, Power weekend (40 hours Friday through Sunday) considered.
Locations: Tobyhanna, Stroudsburg/East Stroudsburg, Scranton, Dickson City, Mount Pocono, Newfoundland, Greentown, Cresco and Canadensis.

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Pocono Center provides programs and services for adults with developmental disabilities. Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required, Valid Drivers License required.
One (1) year of human service experience working with children, adolescents, or adults preferred.
The IDEAL candidate will... Be empathetic, a team player, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, energetic, creative, understand the theories of behavior management and positive reinforcement, and represent yourself as a positive role model.Additionally, you must be able to complete required new hire orientation class, have a strong passion for working with and helping children and adolescents with special needs and possess a valid license.
Physical Requirements: Significant amounts of walking, sitting, and standing. Some lifting and/or managing resistance required related to applying physical intervention techniques upwards of 50 lbs. or more. Some repetitive wrist/hand movements, normal hearing and vision.Occasional use of computers and office equipment. Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes. Ability to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches.
Work Environment: Regularly works inside areas that are adequately lighted and ventilated. Some fluctuations in temperature. Use of Protective equipment such as latex gloves, facial mask protective eyewear, and gown. Possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens.Some degree of physical involvement in exercise of Safe and Positive Approaches.
