Responsibilities:
The Patient Care Assistant II (PCA II) is a certified person who performs direct care in the home health setting. The PCA II maintains a current certification in patient care and is responsible to assist patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the RN.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current Certification in Patient Care required (M.A. / CNA / EMT / Paramedic / Patient Care Tech, etc.).
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
- Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
- Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office, preferred.
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $XX.XX to $XX.XX.
