Position Summary:

A Changeover Supervisor is responsible for leading the Operations Department part time staff during changeover shifts which is the process of setting up and tearing down events. This position will work alongside the Full-time Managers when planning and executing of each shift.
This position is also responsible for coordinating the staff and making sure the work is being done efficiently, safely, and properly. In the event an accident report is needed, the Changeover Supervisor is responsible for filling out incident reports and following proper company protocols when needed.

The Operations Department has flexible schedules as employees are able to pick the shifts and events worked.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $17.50.

About the Venue:

Addition Financial Arena is a 252,000 square foot multipurpose, air-conditioned facility that opened in September 2007.This state-of-the-art facility houses 17,000 square feet of exhibition space which can be utilized for basketball or adapted for various sports such as volleyball, wrestling, gymnastics, cheerleading, boxing, MMA, and weightlifting.

The arena facility can also be transformed for concerts and banquets or as a convention/trade show event. Suites, meeting rooms, locker/dressing rooms, a training room, kitchen, and seven concession stands are also housed in the facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise staff to ensure work is being done properly, safely, and effectively
  • Coordinate with manager on shift and fellow supervisors to develop a plan for the shifts
  • Perform general labor as assigned
  • Event and building setups and teardowns for clients and sports team tenants
  • This includes stage builds for concerts and the basketball court multiple times per week, month and year.
  • Train new hires how to properly do all operations department tasks.
  • Perform checks to ensure everything has been done properly and correctly
  • Organize plan of action, when necessary to split the crew (Such as when building the basketball court or splitting up)
  • Keeping the staff on task and moving from one task to another
  • Report incidents (Such as a worker getting hurt or workers getting into altercations) to the manager on duty as well as handling the incidents
  • Filling out incident reports when someone gets hurt

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • At least 1 year of experience in Operations
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds
  • Ability to perform general labor
  • Must be able to walk stairs, bend, and lean with or without accommodations
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
