Position Description

Under the direction of the Manager, Wysocki Family Farms is seeking a mechanically inclined individual to join our team that will be responsible for safely maintaining various types of farm and operating equipment. Career Ladders were developed for our team members to be able to grow and broaden their mechanical skills.

This is a full-time, year-round, position that offers a competitive benefits and compensation package.

Qualifications

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

Driver’s License Required with an acceptable driving record

Experience with maintenance, troubleshooting and using tools

Experience maintaining farm equipment preferred

Job Responsibilities

Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and inform supervisors about concerns such as but no limited to faulty equipment design, and unsafe working conditions •

Works with Conveyors, replaces belts, bearings and other duties as assigned

Maintains quality and quantity expectations

Safely maintain various types of farm equipment including but not limited to trucks, tractors and equipment, skid steers and loaders

Test and troubleshoot machinery

Replace and instill parts as needed

Keep equipment updated and operational when it is needed

Perform routine inspections of equipment and ensure equipment operating efficiently

Open and close work orders with appropriate documentation and details

May be required to travel locally and work different hours based on the needs of the organization

Physical Demands

This position requires typical physical demands for farm labor, such as walking, standing, reaching, stooping, squatting, lifting up to 50 lbs routinely and up to 75 lbs occasionally, working indoors and outdoors in cold, hot or wet conditions on uneven surfaces.

Able to handle physical workload. Willing to work seven days a week during planting and harvest seasons. Ability to work year round, extended hours and outdoors when required
