We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Accountant in Sherman Oaks, California, United States. This role lies at the intersection of the accounting industry, where you will be dealing with public staff tax accounting and various accounting software systems.
Responsibilities:- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards
- Managing and utilizing accounting software systems such as CaseWare, CCH IntelliConnect, CCH Prosystem, and CCH ProSys
- Conducting auditing processes to verify the accuracy of financial information
- Preparing and analyzing financial statements for accuracy and compliance
- Responding to and resolving customer inquiries related to their accounts
- Monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions based on their status
- Processing customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency
- Maintaining precise records of customer credit information. • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- Proven experience as a Tax Accountant, Tax Analyst, or Tax Preparer
- Familiarity with accounting software packages
- Strong proficiency in Auditing
- Excellent knowledge of Compliance and regulations related to taxes
- Demonstrable experience in preparing Financial Statements
- Must be skilled in time management to meet tax deadlines
- Proficient in Office software, particularly Excel
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- CPA certification will be considered an asset.
