We are offering a contract-to-permanent position as a Sr. Accountant in Melissa, TX. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be tasked with managing financial reports, budgeting, working with departments on annual spend, handling fixed assets, and overseeing journal entries and reviews.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the creation and distribution of financial and board reports on a monthly basis
• Oversee the budgeting process, not limited to annual budgets but also allocated expenses
• Collaborate with various departments to manage their annual spend and suggest alternative spending methods
• Handle fixed assets, including the recently implemented QuickBooks fixed assets feature
• Oversee and review journal entries, making necessary corrections
• Perform month-end accruals
• Conduct account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation
• Handle bank reconciliations and general ledger
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks
• Manage month-end and year-end close activities
• Prepare and review financial statements
• Handle budgeting and forecasting tasks
• Utilize QuickBooks Online for various accounting tasks.
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation
• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations
• Knowledge of General Ledger management
• Expertise in creating Journal Entries
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience in Month End Close procedures
• Understanding of Budgeting and Forecasting
• Proficiency in Budgeting
• Proficiency in using Quickbooks Online
• Experience in Month-end Close Activities
• Experience in Year-end Close procedures
• Ability to Prepare Financial Statements
• Experience in Reviewing Financial Statements
• Experience in Board reporting
• Knowledge of Accruals
