Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (40+ hours per week)
Salary: $27.49 - $48.45 per hour (Performance-Based Pay)
Lunch: 30-Minute Unpaid Lunch Break (Mandatory)
Breaks: Two 15-Minute Paid Breaks (Mandatory)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Field Technician with expertise in locksmithing and door installation to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with commercial doors, hardware, and locksmithing tasks, including the installation, maintenance, and repair of door systems and locks.This position requires a self-starter with a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while ensuring top-notch customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Door Installation: Install commercial doors, frames, hardware, and access control systems at client job sites, ensuring precise and efficient work in line with industry standards.
- Locksmithing Services: Perform lock repairs, rekeying, lock installations, and access control system setup for both new and existing commercial buildings.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of installed door systems, locks, and hardware to ensure proper function and security.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional on-site service, address client concerns, and ensure that all work meets client expectations for quality and timeliness.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and resolve issues related to doors, hardware, and locks, making repairs and replacements as needed.
- Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, contractors, and other team members to ensure jobs are completed on time and within scope.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work is conducted safely and in compliance with local codes and regulations. Adhere to all company safety policies and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Documentation & Reporting: Accurately document work performed, including maintenance schedules, service requests, and materials used, to maintain a clear service history.
- Inventory Management: Maintain and manage tools, equipment, and inventory necessary for job completion, ensuring everything is properly accounted for and in working condition.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in locksmithing, commercial door installation, or related field (previous experience with automatic doors, access control systems, or hardware installation is a plus).
- Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; certification in locksmithing (if applicable) or willingness to obtain certification.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in installing and servicing commercial doors, hardware, and locks. Familiarity with access control systems, electronic locks, and other specialized security devices is preferred.
- Tools & Equipment: Ability to use and maintain hand tools, power tools, and other equipment required for door and lock installations.
- Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose issues and find solutions quickly.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in various outdoor conditions.
- Customer Focus: Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and provide outstanding service.
- Time Management: Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: Certification as a locksmith (e.g., ALOA Certified Locksmith or similar).
- Industry Experience: Prior experience working with commercial doors, security systems, or a similar field.
- Technical Training: Knowledge of electronic access control systems, keyless entry, and other high-tech locking systems.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to handle high-pressure situations and customer demands with professionalism and poise.

Education and Experience:
- At least three years of related experience required or at BDS desertion.
