Job Description
The responsibilities of the Manufacturing Automation Engineer include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the design and production of automated systems for manufacturing high-performance, thin thermoplastic materials.
- Drive the research and development of innovative automation solutions.
- Manage capital equipment projects, including justification, equipment selection or design, procurement, and implementation.
- Enhance manufacturing processes by integrating advanced technology and custom automation, focusing on safety, quality, cost reduction, and throughput improvement, while meeting product design requirements.
- Assemble, test, and troubleshoot automated equipment and systems in manufacturing environments.

The Successful Applicant
The successful Manufacturing Automation Engineer will possess these qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Engineering or Engineering Technology field
- Preferred background in Robotics or Mechanical Engineering, though other engineering disciplines will be considered
- 3+ years of relevant engineering experience
- Expertise in manufacturing automation
- Familiarity with materials and equipment for plastic part fabrication
- Strong knowledge of machine design, basic electrical design, and standard manufacturing practices
