Office Administrator
The Conference of Major Superiors of Men (CMSM) is searching for an Office Administrator to support the work of the Conference and its member communities. The successful candidate will work on a variety of administrative tasks in a timely, proactive, effective, and team-oriented manner.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: + Scheduling meetings, coordinating logistics around meals and staff/board/member travel
+ Organization of the physical office environment, keeping inventory of supplies+ Coordinating any repairs or office maintenance
+ Overseeing major mailings and print jobs to our membership
+ Attending committee meetings to take minutes
+ Communicating and coordinating with committee members, presenters, speakers, and VIPs for our events and programs (virtual and in-person)
+ Assisting with registration and reception at local events (and possibly out of town events)
+ Drafting communications/copy about our programming, surveys, and other CMSM events/resources
+ Drafting outgoing correspondence for the Executive Director and other team members
+ Preparing material for publication on our website and social media
+ Updating membership records, email lists, and mailing lists
+ Pulling reports on membership and finances
+ Assisting with membership and financial record-keeping along with other clerical tasks
+ Other duties as assigned
The candidate should have three (3) or more years of professional experience in an office environment or other professional setting. Prior experience in roles similar to an administrative assistant or executive assistant is desirable. The candidate should have superior organizational skills, high proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, etc.), experience in managing records, and the ability to handle confidential information.The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of the Roman Catholic Church and Catholic religious life.
CMSM team members are required to be present in our offices in Greenbelt, MD on Tuesdays and Thursdays with the option to work from home on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. There may be times where programs and events require the team to be present in the office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
