Staff Accountant

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in BALTIMORE, Maryland. The selected individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless financial operations within our organization. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity, and is vital in maintaining our financial integrity and accuracy in the finance industry.

• Ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and receivable
• Effectively managing and reconciling the general ledger
• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Conducting bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
• Providing support to the payroll department as needed
• Posting relevant data to the General Ledger
• Preparing and posting journal entries as part of month-end close procedures
• Ensuring balance sheets are accurate and up-to-date
• Using intermediate spreadsheet software skills to manage and analyze data
• Printing checks as required for business operations. • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role
• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Demonstrated experience performing bank reconciliations
• Adept at maintaining and updating the General Ledger
• Skilled in creating and posting journal entries
• Capable of performing Month End Close procedures effectively
• Experience in preparing Financial Statements.
