Overview:
The Royalty team is currently seeking a Royalty Clerk to handle all facets relating to the processing of licensing income. In this role, you are responsible for processing licensee payments, payment requests and deposits, along with providing ongoing administrative support.
The candidate must be extremely detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure in a deadline driven environment. Accuracy is of utmost importance
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for daily input and balancing of cash receipts pertaining to licensing income.
- Responsible for converting dockets received to US dollars by ISBN adding back tax deducted when needed.
- Responsible for posting unearned balance statements on an ongoing basis.
- Responsible for dunning process (advances and unearned balances) as necessary.
- Responsible for special projects as deemed necessary.
- Needs ability to work independently on a daily basis. Works with departmental supervisors, managers or director when necessary.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- A minimum of 1 year in a corporate accounting, finance, or royalty department is desired.
- Experience in book publishing is preferred. Experience processing sales data is also preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Prior experience using Klopotek Royalty Software and/or JD Edwards Financial Software is a plus.
- Ability to work overtime as needed
