Geriatric Dental Hygienist

Qualifications:

Associate degree from a Dental Hygiene Program
Valid NYS license/registration as a Dental Hygienist
Two years of experience in geriatric or special needs patient care preferred
CPR/Basic Life Support certification required
Strong understanding of oral health challenges in aging populations

Duties:

Conduct oral health assessments for geriatric patients
Perform dental cleanings, fluoride treatments, and periodontal care
Educate elderly patients on maintaining oral hygiene with prosthetics or mobility issues
Take and analyze digital X-rays to assess oral health concerns
Work with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate dental care

Pay: $50/hr to $55/hr
