We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Human Resources Administrator in the Higher Education industry, located in Miami, Florida. This role involves managing and executing various HR-related tasks and requires a keen understanding of ADP Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, ATS, and other related skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer various human resources plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintain employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
  • Conduct recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students and temporary employees; conduct new-employee orientations; monitor career-pathing program and write and place advertisements.
  • Perform benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness, information activities program and cash flow.
  • Handle employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.
  • Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars. Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Maintain human resource information system records and compile reports from the database.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
  • Assist with employee relations investigations.
  • Conduct audits of various payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommend any corrective action.
  • Possess proficiency in ADP
  • Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now
  • Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, Ceridian, Concur, and About Time software
  • Experience in auditing, conducting background checks, and handling benefit functions
  • Understanding of compliance regulations related to human resources in higher education
  • Knowledge of Discrimination - EEOC and Employment Discrimination laws and regulations
  • Ability to conduct investigations and handle employee relations investigations effectively
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred
  • Prior experience in a similar role within the higher education industry is a plus.
