Accounting Assistant
Location: Onsite, Plum, PA
Job Type: Contract, with potential to extend
Hour Requirement: 24 hours a week, Monday to Friday during regular business hours (Preferred schedule would be 3 8-hour days, 4 6-hour days, or 5 5-hour days)

Job Summary: We are currently seeking a Part-time Accounting Assistant for one of our clients located in the Plum area of PA. This role demands a dedicated individual who has some accounting knowledge and experience, specifically in accounts receivable and/or accounts payable.This part-time Accounting Assistant position has become available due to the implementation of a new accounting package. The previously used software is Dynamics/Soloman, and the software being implemented is Microsoft Business Central. Experience with either of these software applications is helpful, although not required.
Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Assistant may include:
- Importing data between various systems on a daily and weekly basis
- Creating batches of invoices to be sent to customers
- Issue credit memos to customers as appropriate
- Assisting with inputting invoice data for Accounts Payable
- Matching invoices to purchase orders in the database
- Review client statements and confirm that all invoices have been received and entered
- Post payments to customer accounts; payments will be received multiple ways (check, credit cards, wire transfers, etc.)
- Investigating discrepancies between the amount paid and what was invoiced
- Performing data entry tasks
- Providing general support to the accounting department
Please note, this is a part-time position offering 24 hours work per week. Hours need to be worked from Monday through Friday during our standard business hours. The position is a contract role through the end of the year, although the contract may be extended based on business requirements.

Required Skills:
