We are an independent insurance agency specializing in a broad range of insurance products in business insurance, personal insurance, and employee benefits, and further specializing in surety and bonding solutions. Our solutions extend to individuals, families, and businesses in over 30 states nationwide.
The Commercial Lines Account Manager provides complete support for our Commercial Lines Department with expertise in Property & Casualty Insurance and do their part of insuring high client retention for the whole agency. This position requires exposure to all aspects of this department with diverse day-to-day responsibilities.
Role Expectations and Description
The Commercial Lines Account Manager is a key component of our team. A clients’ experience from a service perspective can make or break the sustainability of our business. As an AM, you can directly impact and control our clients’ experience.
Job Requirements:
- Experience working for an independent insurance agency (Preferred)
- Experience servicing/quoting/marketing commercial insurance with multiple carriers
- Minimum of 2 year of experience as a Commercial Lines Account Manager (Preferred)
- Must be able to multitask and handle a heavy workload with minimal supervision
- Effective communicator (verbal and written)
- Working knowledge of Applied Systems Epic management system (Preferred)
- Insurance designation (Preferred)
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft Office and a proficiency in Word and Excel
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Work with Agency Principal, Producers, and Team Members
- Acquire new business by identifying opportunities in the local market and cross sell of our current clients
- Order policies and issue documentation, certificates, and binders as needed
- Prepare new business and account renewal submissions for marketing and proposals to obtain competitive coverage/cost ratios for clients
- Provide exceptional customer service to our clients by developing and maintaining strong long-term client relationships
- Understand and promote all products offered using all possible marketing tools
Experience:
- Commercial lines account manager
- Quoting/marketing commercial insurance with multiple carriers: 2 years (Preferred)
- Applied Systems Epic management system Preferred
Requirements:
- Property and Casualty (P&C) license
