Accounts Payable Clerk - Robert Half

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the accounting industry in East Hartford, Connecticut. The Accounts Payable Clerk will play a crucial role in our team, focusing on the processing of accounts payable, data entry and maintaining accurate records for our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process accounts payable
• Handle data entry tasks related to accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Utilize NetSuite for efficient invoicing and full cycle payables
• Maintain thorough and accurate records of customer transactions and inquiries
• Monitor customer accounts and resolve any issues that arise
• Implement appropriate actions for account management
• Ensure the accuracy of all customer credit records.
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures
• Strong data entry skills with high accuracy
• Basic understanding of accounting and financial principles
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organization and time-management skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• Previous experience in Accounts Payable or a similar role is a plus.
