Accounting Manager/Supervisor - New Haven

You will also be engaged in the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department and ensuring the ongoing eligibility of our residents for Medicaid.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Accounting Department's daily operations
• Supervise accounting and payroll staff to ensure accurate and timely work
• Manage transactions and record them in the general ledger
• Generate comprehensive financial reports for review
• Ensure the eligibility of residents for Medicaid remains consistent
• Maintain the accuracy and timeliness of all transactions, records, and reports
• Use your experience with accounting software systems to streamline processes
• Manage accounts payable and receivable to maintain fiscal health
• Conduct audits to ensure regulatory compliance
• Oversee billing functions to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting functions
• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) processes
• Understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) procedures
• Proven experience in auditing
• Ability to handle billing functions effectively
• Knowledge of Medicaid policies
• Familiarity with Medicaid Eligibility requirements
