Summary: Press Brake Setup 1st and 2nd shift

This role is a skilled position responsible for setting up and operating and AMADA press brake.

Job Duties:

• Set up programs and perform brake operations on AMADA style brake machinery according to specifications of work orders and fabrication prints/drawings without supervision
• Perform brake operations on AMADA style brake machinery according to specifications of work orders and fabrication prints/drawings without supervision
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings or fabrication prints as needed for accurate and safe brake operation
• Understand and calculate bend deduction allowances as required to properly and safely set up AMADA air bend tooling
• Follow work order directions and safely produce required quantity of parts efficiently and within the required tolerance and cosmetic quality

• Confirm operations in ERP system
• Adhere to all company safety regulations, including those regarding machine operation and proper guarding
• Complete production orders after initial setup and production order documentation
• Cooperate with other employees in the department to maintain a safe working environment
• Perform preventative maintenance on assigned brake press equipment
• Complete assigned work within given timeframe and according to specifications
• Inform supervisor of any part or equipment defects to ensure prompt response to the problem
• Follow instructions as provided by supervisor
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work area
• Other duties as assigned
