Bookkeeper

The successful candidate will be adept at using CargoWise and possess a solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

• Execute AR and AP transactions efficiently
• Carry out payable and receivable reconciliations with precision
• Manage internal operations for freight logistics and accounting
• Handle bank statements and journal entries with accuracy
• Ensure familiarity and proficiency in using CargoWise for various tasks
• Maintain and update records in Microsoft Excel
• Monitor and take necessary action on customer accounts
• Ensure the accuracy of customer credit records
• Process customer credit applications meticulously
• Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in bookkeeping or a similar role
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis
• Knowledge and experience in account reconciliation and accounts receivable (AR) management
• Experience in conducting bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
• Familiarity with Cargowise or similar financial software
• Demonstrable skills in bookkeeping and financial reporting
• Ability to work independently, with strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential
• A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferable but not mandatory.
