Accounting Specialist

We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in Dallas, Texas. This role is integral to our finance team, with a focus on the accurate and efficient processing of accounting tasks. The Accounting Specialist will be involved in a range of activities including accounts receivable/payable, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting.

• Accurately process and verify invoices, ensuring appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
• Maintain and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions to ensure accurate financial records
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary financial information and facilitate smooth operations
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Ensure accurate general ledger entries by posting journal entries as required
• Maintain organized and efficient filing systems for financial documents
• Assist in the implementation of new accounting systems or software as needed
• Provide general support to the accounting department, assisting with various tasks as required
• Keep precise records of financial transactions and audit trails for future reference
• Follow up on outstanding payments and resolve discrepancies with vendors and customers. • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems is essential.
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions is expected.
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is crucial.
• Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) is needed.
• Knowledge and experience in Auditing is required.
• Ability to handle Billing Functions efficiently is necessary.
• Expertise in QuickBooks is highly desirable.
