Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Claims Coordinator to join our team in Johnston, RI. This role involves managing and processing insurance claims efficiently while ensuring excellent customer service and compliance with company policies.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage insurance claims from initiation to resolution.
  • Communicate with policyholders, adjusters, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information.
  • Maintain accurate records of claims, ensuring all documentation is up to date.
  • Investigate claim details to determine coverage and liability.
  • Provide timely updates to customers regarding their claim status.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth claims process.
  • Ensure compliance with company guidelines and state regulations.
  • Perform additional administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in insurance, customer service, or claims processing preferred.
  • strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities
  • Claims Management: Overseeing the entire claims process from initial report to final resolution, ensuring timely and accurate handling.
  • Investigation: Conducting thorough investigations by gathering relevant information, such as statements from policyholders, claimants, and witnesses, and reviewing supporting documents to assess claim validity.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with internal departments, including underwriting and customer service, as well as external parties like legal counsel and adjusters, to facilitate comprehensive claim evaluations.
  • Documentation: Maintaining detailed and organized records of all claim activities, communications, and decisions to ensure transparency and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Customer Communication: Providing clear and empathetic communication to policyholders regarding claim status, required documentation, and the resolution process to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Compliance: Ensuring all claims are handled in accordance with the clients guidelines, industry standards, and state regulations to maintain ethical and legal compliance.
