Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular Operating Room -RNCOR24-15606

Shift: Days, 10-hour shifts Mon – Fri, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Job Description:

• As a CVOR RN, you will be responsible for providing individualized peri-operative care using the nursing process. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, assess patient conditions, analyze data, plan care strategies, and establish priorities in the operating room setting. You will be expected to provide both direct and indirect nursing care, delegate tasks appropriately, and evaluate patient responses to interventions.
• The RN in this role will direct surgery department staff in the care of surgical patients of all ages, from infants to geriatric patients. The position also involves floating to Ortho or Gyn units if there are no cardiovascular surgeries due to the low volume of CVOR cases.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and analyze patient health conditions before, during, and after surgery.
• Develop and implement a care plan based on the nursing process for peri-operative patients.
• Ensure safe and effective nursing care, both direct and indirect, through collaboration and delegation.
• Manage and evaluate the responses of patients to nursing interventions during surgery.
• Supervise and direct surgical staff in patient care.
• Provide care for a diverse patient population, ranging from infants to geriatric patients.
• Float to Ortho or Gyn units when required due to low CVOR volume.

Requirements:

Licensure:

• Current Oklahoma RN license or Compact RN License – Required (Facility will not pend license/certs).

Experience:

• 2+ years of Cardiac Circulating experience – Required.
• 1+ completed assignment OR 1+ year in CVOR – Required.
• Experience in Ortho or Gyn surgery – Required.

Certifications: BLS and ACLS.
