Job Summary:
The Clinical Chief of Staff (CoS) will be a strategic and operational partner to the executive clinical leadership team, supporting the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Chief Anesthetist Officer (CAO), and Chief Quality Officer (CQO) of NorthStar Anesthesia.This role is essential for streamlining the effectiveness and efficiency of the clinical leadership team and serves as a trusted advisor, driving key initiatives, coordinating communication, and ensuring alignment with strategic priorities across the company.
Someone in this role must be willing to travel up to 20%.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Execution- Collaborate with the clinical leadership team to develop, prioritize, and execute strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Partner with clinical leaders on key decision-making processes and the development of short- and long-term strategies for clinical and operational excellence.
- Drive execution of major projects, leading cross-functional teams and tracking progress to ensure successful outcomes within established timelines.
- Oversee and enhance clinical leadership processes, including performance metrics, executive reporting, and alignment with organizational goals.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the clinical executive team, ensuring time is optimized, priorities are met, and meetings are productive.
- Prepare meeting agendas, coordinate follow-up actions, and ensure clear and effective communication of initiatives, priorities, and goals.
- Serve as a central point of contact for communication among clinical leaders and between the executive team and broader organization.
- Act as a liaison between the clinical leadership team and other departments to facilitate alignment.
- Develop and implement internal communication strategies, ensuring key stakeholders are informed and engaged in the organization’s mission and objectives.
- Lead high-impact projects, providing project management support to the CMO, CAO, and CQO for clinical initiatives, quality improvements, and operational enhancements.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure resources are allocated effectively and timelines are met.
- Support data collection, analysis, and reporting on project outcomes, presenting findings to leadership to support data-driven decision-making.
- Work closely with the CQO and Office of Clinical Quality more broadly to ensure that clinical quality standards are met.
- Support clinical leaders in implementing and monitoring quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, and compliance measures.
- Analyze quality and performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and supporting initiatives to optimize patient care.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field.
- 6-8 years of experience in a strategic, project management, or operational role within healthcare, ideally with experience in anesthesia or perioperative services.
- Prior experience supporting senior or executive-level leaders within a healthcare organization, with exposure to clinical leadership.
- Strong understanding of healthcare operations, quality, compliance, and performance metrics.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated leadership in project management, with proficiency in driving cross-functional projects.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to influence and build relationships across an organization.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and the ability to exercise sound judgment.
- Must be willing to travel up to 20%
