Staff Platform Backend Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who thrives on challenges and wants to contribute to impactful projects in a highly collaborative environment.

• Develop and maintain backend features and integrations using Python and Django.
• Create and manage efficient CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments.
• Conduct performance testing and implement system improvements.
• Maintain and optimize Kubernetes Clusters for scalable and stable deployment.
• Enhance monitoring systems to ensure reliability and operational excellence.
• Provide rotational on-call support to maintain uptime and resolve critical issues.
• Task distribution: 20% DevOps, 80% Engineering (this is not a DevOps role).

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 8 years in software engineering with strong expertise in Python and Django.
• DevOps Skills: Proficiency in AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and related containerization technologies.
• Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to work in a hybrid role, combining backend engineering and platform/SRE/DevOps responsibilities.
• Start-Up Experience: Previous experience in a fast-paced, start-up environment with VC funding and small teams (<200 employees).
