Staff Accountant

We are working with one of our clients who are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in West Memphis, Arkansas. This role is integral to our team, primarily focused on managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and efficiency in all accounting tasks.

• Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department ensuring efficiency and compliance.
• Conduct detailed general ledger reconciliations and account analysis.
• Prepare comprehensive financial statements and reports for management.
• Utilize Sage software for effective financial management.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes with precision.
• Provide technical accounting guidance to the team, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, contributing to strategic planning.
• Adhere to GAAP and other accounting standards, maintaining the highest level of integrity in all accounting tasks.
• Handle corporate accounting tasks, ensuring operational efficiency.
• Applicant must hold a minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting role, preferably as a Staff Accountant.
• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.
• The candidate should be skilled in performing Bank Reconciliations.
• Working knowledge of General Ledger management is essential.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing Journal Entries is a must.
• Capability to handle Month End Close tasks effectively is required.
• Familiarity with the Sage Intacct accounting software is a necessity.
• Experience in Non-profit Accounting will be considered a plus.
• The candidate should be adept at Account Reconciliation.
