Manager of Public Relations & Communications
Imagine! is creating a world of opportunities for all abilities and seeks a Manager of Public Relations and Communications with demonstrated experience leading communications and public relations strategy for a mission driven organization.
Purpose of Position- In partnership with Imagine! leadership, develops and implements comprehensive marketing and communication strategies to advance Imagine’s! mission, vision, values and overall brand. Raises awareness of Imagine! and introduces our services to a wider audience, sharing our story with funders, businesses, elected officials, families, the medical community, current and potential employees, and the public.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities- Develops and implements an organizational strategy for marketing, communications and public relations.
- Develops and implements, in partnership with leadership, communication strategies to strengthen relationships with Imagine! stakeholders.
- Creates and conducts stakeholder feedback opportunities regarding communications, synthesizes feedback data, and makes continual improvements based on feedback.
- Serves as the public relations advisor to the CEO, Imagine! Leadership, and staff.
- Responsible for stakeholder engagement in marketing, communications, and public relations.
- Responsible for media activities including contacting media outlets, coordination of media events, and content creation,
- Coordinates crisis communication, including the development and maintenance of a crisis communication plan with input and approval from executive leadership.
- Oversees and maintains clear and consistent communication and graphic standards for all internal and external communications, including the website, social media and other electronic means.
- Develops, writes and edits website content that is compelling, impactful and in alignment with mission, values and strategic priorities as well as engaging, optimized for search engine optimization, and updated regularly.
- Supports departments with online registrations as needed.
- Develops engaging content and strategic messaging across various channels—including email, intranet, videos, and more —to keep employees informed and aligned with company goals.
- Introduces creative approaches to internal communications, utilizing multimedia content, storytelling techniques, and emerging technologies to engage employees.
- Writes, produces, promotes and distributes all informational and marketing publications, ensuring that all materials are prepared to have maximum success and respect for our various constituencies
- Coordinates all print and electronic media opportunities and activities, including press releases.
- Offers assistance to members of the media, researchers, and other organizations conducting work in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Responsible for the creation and management of Imagine! internal and external newsletters by developing articles regarding Imagine! programs, activities, and developments..
- Evaluates and monitors potential publishing and electronic communication opportunities.
- Provides support to the leadership team, Imagine! departments, and other select committees as necessary.
- Coordinates any subcontracted communications/marketing services.
- Represents Imagine! at community and business events as needed.

- Skill and ability in website development and maintenance.
- Knowledge of the ADA as it relates to website accessibility and content creation.
- Expert skill and ability in public speaking and presentations.
- Effective and creative negotiator and problem solver with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with employees, contractors, stakeholders and leadership.
- Willingness to align internal communications with broader organizational goals and adapt strategies based on feedback and metrics.
- Ability to work effectively with various technologies including word processing software, internet-based databases, etc.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to meet Imagine! driving requirements.
- This position requires regular use of a personal vehicle with liability insurance that meets Imagine! standards.
- This position requires regular use of a personal mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet.
Training/Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communication, or related field required.
- Master’s degree highly preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
Experience:
- 5 years’ related experience required.
- Effective with shifting roles, responsibilities, and expectations in a changing environment.
- Extended periods of time working at a computer.
- This position requires regular travel throughout the Front Range area.
