Accounting Manager/Supervisor

We are looking for an Accounting Manager that lives in the greater Hartford area who is looking to work a hybrid/remote schedule once up and running. In this role, the individual will oversee the processing and balancing of daily accounting functions, direct and review the work of the accounting staff, and ensure the integrity of financial statements.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of monthly financial reports for management
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the financial statements
• Direct and review the work performance of the assigned staff
• Handle the daily accounting and balancing functions, ensuring the controls are operating as intended
• Generate various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for all stakeholders of the organization
• Assist with annual audits performed by internal, external, and regulatory auditors
• Mentor and develop team members to ensure performance success
• Partake in special projects related to the accounting function as assigned by management
• Continually improve policies and procedures related to accounting and general ledger
• Proficiency in all primary Accounting Functions
• Extensive experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)
• Demonstrable skills in overseeing Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Expertise in conducting comprehensive Auditing
• Sound knowledge of GAAP - STAT regulations
• Proficiency in GAAP Accounting is essential
• Ability to effectively prepare Financial Statements
• Experience in managing and maintaining the General Ledger
• Demonstrable experience in Payroll management
• Strong skills in Budgeting and financial forecasting.
