Your role and responsibilities
As a Business Financial Analyst, reporting to the Athens, TN Controller, you will be a part of the ELIP Finance/Accounting team mainly supporting the Athens, TN site. You will be responsible to perform support activities within General Accounting, Financial Analysis, Reporting & Consolidation in line with defined strategies, policies and procedures.
This is an on-site position based in Athens, TN.
This role is contributing to the Electrification Installation Products division in the United States.
You will be mainly accountable for:- Ensuring timely and efficient communication with Controller and the Finance/Accounting team to identify and discuss issues and suggestions for improvement. Helping to prepare financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, forecasting documents and presentations
- Month-end activities to include (but not limited to): account analyses, account reconciliations, journal entry creation, account reviews, inventory analyses, balance sheet reconciliations
- Capital Expenditures and Fixed asset monitoring, analyses, review, and reporting. Maintaining audit trails and documentation for future audits and reviews
- Optimizing performance to increase productivity by developing automated solutions, eliminating duplication and coordinating information requirements. Establishing and overseeing processes and tools to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration with 5+ years of experience in an accounting or financial analyst role. Will consider candidates with a Masters Degree and 3 years experience.
- Experience with computerized accounting systems and financial reporting software, including Oracle, SAP, ERP or related financial systems.
- Advanced skills and experience with Excel required.
- Experience in manufacturing, ideally at the plant level is strongly desired.
