How you make a difference:

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator oversees the clinical and administrative operations of assigned unit(s) and supervises nursing staff to provide comprehensive nursing care. They lead staff development and performance improvement activities while fostering an interdisciplinary team approach to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

This role requires a strong commitment to patient experience and promoting positive clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees nursing care delivery for assigned units and supervises nursing staff, including staffing, scheduling, and documentation.
  • Provides direct supervision at the unit level, evaluates staff performance, and generates reports on healthcare delivery.
  • Monitors safety issues, promotes professional development, and provides individualized patient care.
  • Builds internal and external customer relationships, fosters multidisciplinary teamwork and collaboration, and recommends creative solutions for organizational improvement.
  • Submits clear and timely reports, demonstrates knowledge of standards and regulatory requirements, and conducts unit staff meetings with a staff training component.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education
  • Graduate from an accredited college or university preferred.
Experience
  • A minimum of three experience as a staff Registered Nurse in a psychiatric setting is required
  • An additional two to three years’ leadership experience preferred.
Licenses/Certifications
  • Must hold a current License as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
  • Specialty certification preferred.
  • Must be CPR certified at the time of commencing employment.
