Medical Billing Specialist

They are currently seeking a Medical Billing Coordinator to join our team and help manage essential financial and billing processes to support our operations.
Job Overview: The Medical Billing Coordinator will be responsible for managing resident billing information, processing third-party claims, maintaining insurance databases, and ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date. This role requires attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and experience in managing accounts receivable and billing procedures, particularly in a healthcare or senior living environment.

Responsibilities- Manage resident profiles and billing details, ensuring accuracy and timely updates
- Maintain and regularly update the resident insurance database
- Track resident census for all levels of care
- Process third-party billing and input SNF ancillary charges
- Generate, process, and distribute monthly invoices and adjustments to residents in a timely manner
- Monitor and resolve accounts receivable balances efficiently
- Reconcile billing accounts, including accounts receivable, revenues, contractual allowances, and expenses
- Prepare month-end reconciliation worksheets, including Medicare A and B logs and Medicare ancillary logs
- Assist in the preparation of Medicare cost report worksheets.
- Prepare year-end audit worksheets as needed.
- Assist with Fullcount (POS) maintenance and processing in coordination with accounting tasks, and support other departments with back-office reports.
- Submit Quarterly Bed Tax to DPH.
- Calculate and submit Quarterly Sales and Meals Taxes.
- Medical Billing (3 years of experience is preferred)
- Medicare Compliance (3 years of experience is preferred)
