Senior Accountant - Robert Half

Robert Half is seeking an experienced, bilingual Accountant, with extensive background in accounts payable, who is fluent in Spanish and English, to join our client’s team.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all aspects of accounts payable operations such as coding invoices, setting up new vendors, vendor invoice disputes, and ensuring the company adheres to its payments' schedules.
• Document consistency between source system and financial systems while assisting in the on-boarding, training, supervision, and evaluation of junior staff.
• Review, track, and reconcile expense reports and credit card charges.
• Assist in the accomplishment of tasks related to month-end closing, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations for various balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Generate, maintain, and analyze financial reports regularly to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and expense details.
• Liaise with external auditors while providing necessary data and documentation.
• Prepare tax reports, forecasts and financial statements to aid managers in decision-making.
• Communicate with Spanish-speaking clients and authorities, translating documents when necessary
• Work closely with the finance department to improve financial processes and ensure all financial documentation is accurate.

• Must be Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or any related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting with a strong focus on accounts payable.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Strong computer skills, particularly with accounting software (Sage is a plus) and MS Office.
• Experience in working with different currencies is a plus.
